Yesterday night I had received news that Swinburne Sarawak had forget to include the Contact Law for students who take major in accounting. This subject must taken by students who want to take CPA program after graduate their Bachelor. Due to the changes of program for next semester, I need to choose one minor and two electives, contact law is one of the subjects in the electives. My friend told me that contact law now becomes compulsory elective subject for accounting students. However, I had finished two elective subjects and I had no more extra choices to choose contact law.
This morning, my friend and I decide go to find the coordinator for Business degree program- Accounting. When we find the coordinator and we told her about our situation, she told us we only can choose the Commercial Law or Basic Marketing as our minor if we want finishes our degree within three year. We cannot choose other minor combinations like Finance, economics, human resource, leadership, applied marketing and organization behavior. If we choose this minor we need to extend our program for one semester. At first, I had chosen finance as my minor because I think among eight of the minors I most interested in finance. But now, my choice only left Commercial Law or Basic Marketing and the most important thing is this two minor is the minor that I not interested with and this two minor is the first minors that I abandon I when I making decision for choosing which minor.
This make me feel very angry with Swinburne because I think Swinburne should not force me to take the subjects or minor that I interested with. Why the wrong of Swinburne management need to ask me as student to endure??? Now I feel very antimony because I want to finish my Degree program within three year time which now only left one and half year but I don’t want to take the Commercial Law or Basic Marketing as my minor. If I don’t want take Commercial Law or Basic Marketing as my minor I need to extend one more semester and this will waste my time for taking one subject only for three month time and my graduation will extend one semester. Besides that, the plan that I do all now become rubbish due to the wrong of Swinburne management!!!!
Haiz….I think I need to do the decision faster because I will back to Sibu in this Sunday and I need hang up the study plan to my friend for helping me hang up to Swinburne before tomorrow night. I only left around one day form now for think whether want to choose which minor…… haiz…… God if can please show me the ways……
I think after this situation, I really feel disappointed with Swinburne. How can they do the changes for the program and subjects for students without making the research probably??? This will seriously affect the future of the students!!!! I think they only know to teach the students but they don’t know how to apply the thing that they teach in Swinburne….. I will not recommend my friend to take their degree in Swinburne!!!
